Community is championed at The Athletic Club of Columbus! As a social club, we encourage the forging of relationships through athletics, common interests, and experiences. Member engagement is at an all-time high!
Our vast membership has a plethora of interests. The ACC currently offers Clubs-within-the-Club (CWICs) and Affinity Groups for members to participate. CWICs are deeply entrenched in Club culture and operate as an extension of the ACC community. Additional special interest groups are called “Affinity Groups” and are self-organized with member leadership that creates and plans activities.

CLUBS-WITHIN-THE-CLUB
Join ACSKI to meet other ski enthusiasts at the Club! Previous adventures include trips to Breckenridge, Colorado; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Banff, Canada; Chamonix, France, and Telluride, Colorado.
Experience the enjoyment, fellowship, and camaraderie founded through fine spirits with the Barrel & Still Society! Members must be of Legal Drinking Age and in good standing with the Club.
League play is highly competitive and fun at the ACC. Fall/Winter play occurs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, and on a few evenings during the summer. The ACC provides team jerseys, weekly league standing updates, post-season championship games, and end-of-the season parties. Leagues are open to all Club members who are at least 18 years of age.
With a focus on the outdoors, the Rod & Gun Club plans fishing trips, clays shoots, and hunting outings. Signature events hosted by the Rod & Gun Club include the Annual Wild Game Dinner and the Walleye War.
It’s no surprise that the popularity of squash in the U.S. continues to grow. We encourage you to experience this great game for the first time or just brush up your skills and enjoy the camaraderie you’ll find here at the ACC. Options include Open League, Ladies Squash, and Juniors.
AFFINITY GROUPS
Get outside with ACC Hiking! Join other members for group hiking trips to Columbus Metro Parks, State Parks, and beyond.
Join us for open play designed for all members, with all skill levels welcome. Register for monthly meetings where players should come with a working knowledge of the game and must bring a valid 2026 card to participate. As we get established, feel free to bring a set of tiles or a mat if you have them.
The ACC Book Club is an Affinity Group open to all ACC members. We read one book each month. If there is enough interest, we’ll meet twice to discuss the same book (you only attend one meeting). Our meetings usually start with a bit of catching up, then our Book Leader shares a few questions and thoughts to guide the discussion. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and casual.
The Golf Simulator League meets at X-Golf in Grandview during the winter and early spring.
Jump in with Master Swim at the ACC! This group involves all things swimming - from swim challenges, summer swim opportunities at CCC, and an annual swim banquet.
The Club has officially launched “She Means Business” as a subset of the Women’s Committee with the goal of empowering women to confidently pursue leadership, innovation, and success by creating a supportive community rooted in collaboration, continuous learning, and equity.
